Have you ever found yourself stuck in overthinking… going round and round in circles trying to make a decision?

You analyse it.
You weigh up the pros and cons.
You try to “think harder.”

And yet… you still feel stuck.

If that sounds familiar, there’s nothing wrong with you.

You might simply be trying to solve everything with just one part of your intelligence.

A Reminder of the Power of Positivity

Before we dive in, I want to share something that happened recently. I was at the Stay Blackpool trade show, surrounded by amazing local businesses and a real sense of community. During the day, a woman came up to me and said she had seen me speak at an International Women’s Day event. She told me how much it had impacted her. How inspiring it felt. How important it was to experience that level of positivity in the town. And it reminded me of something I always tell my students:

You never know how far your impact will reach.

Every conversation, every moment of connection, every bit of positivity you share creates a ripple effect. And there’s actually science behind that.

When you experience emotions like gratitude, appreciation, love and compassion, your heart generates an electromagnetic field that can be felt by others around you.

That’s why:

  • Some rooms feel tense and heavy
  • Others feel warm, connected, and energising

Your state matters. And it influences more than you think.

Why You Feel Stuck in Decision-Making

Let’s get back to that feeling of confusion or indecision. Most people assume:

“I just need more time to think.”

But often, more thinking just leads to more overthinking… and more exhaustion.

Here’s what’s really going on:

You’re trying to make a whole-body decision using only your head.

And that creates internal conflict.

You Have More Than One “Brain”

In mBIT (Multiple Brain Integration Techniques), we recognise three key centres of intelligence:

1. The Head Brain – Logic & Analysis

This is where you:

  • Analyse situations
  • Weigh up pros and cons
  • Create meaning and interpretations

It’s powerful… but limited on its own.

2. The Heart Brain – Values & Emotions

This is where you connect to:

  • What truly matters to you
  • What you care about
  • What feels right

This is your source of motivation, passion, and fulfilment.

3. The Gut Brain – Identity & Safety

This is your instinctive centre:

  • Who you are (and who you want to be)
  • Your sense of safety
  • Your intuition and instincts

This is also closely linked to your nervous system.

When your gut brain feels unsafe, you may:

  • Procrastinate
  • Avoid decisions
  • Act impulsively

The Real Reason for Confusion

Confusion isn’t a lack of ability.

It’s misalignment between your head, heart, and gut.

When these three brains aren’t working together, you experience:

  • Inner conflict
  • Overthinking
  • Indecision
  • Mental exhaustion

But when they align? That’s when clarity happens.

A Simple Way to Move from Confusion to Clarity

You don’t need complicated strategies. You just need better questions. Here are three powerful self-coaching questions you can use right now:

Ask Your Head:

👉 What makes sense here?
👉 What are the actual facts?
👉 What meaning am I giving this?

Ask Your Heart:

👉 What is truly important to me?
👉 What do I care about?
👉 What feels right?

Ask Your Gut:

👉 What aligns with who I am?
👉 Who do I want to be in this situation?
👉 Is there any fear I need to release?

Then pause and tune into your body.

Do your answers align… or conflict?

The Power of Self-Coaching Questions

The quality of your life is shaped by the quality of the questions you ask yourself.

If you’re asking:

  • “Why am I like this?”
  • “What’s wrong with me?”

You’ll stay stuck.

But when you ask:

  • “What feels right?”
  • “What matters most?”
  • “Who do I want to be?”

You open the door to clarity, confidence, and aligned decisions.

A Real Example

When I was naming my book, I had a couple of title ideas… but something didn’t feel right.

So instead of forcing it, I paused. I asked my head, heart, and gut the right questions.

Within minutes, the title Kiss Your Life came to me. That’s the power of alignment.

Bringing It All Together

You don’t need to:

  • Think harder
  • Push more
  • Stay stuck in analysis

You need to listen more deeply.

When your head, heart, and gut are aligned:

  • Decisions feel clearer
  • Actions feel easier
  • Life feels more fulfilling

Final Thought

The next time you feel confused or overwhelmed, remember:

👉 It’s not that you’re broken
👉 It’s not that you’re bad at decisions

You’re just out of alignment.

And with the right questions… you can bring yourself back into clarity.

If this resonates with you, you can explore this work more deeply through mBIT coaching or training.

And in the meantime…

Keep asking better questions.
Keep trusting your inner intelligence.
And keep moving from confusion… to clarity.
